Women's Concert

Useful Links

Pajamas are welcome, but there won’t be any sleeping in this not-for-bedtime concert for this summer's reading theme. Just songs about howling coyotes, fuzzy slippers, a monster or two, and of course....lots of singing and dancing!

LIBRARIANS:
Here are some songs you can download from my website to use in your summer reading programs:

Dancing Pajamas-
A good finisher for your story time or when those pajama-ed kids
                                   start getting wild
!
Five Coyotes
(fun finger play with coyote patterns for paper or felt props)
Fuzzy Slippers
( a fun upbeat counting-by-pairs song)
Owl Song
- printable book. Just print pages, punch holes, and put in small 3 ring binder.
Star Shine Bright
- this is written as a Christmas song, but I change the lyrics to use
                                    it year round.

"Stars shining brightly above the trees, tell me what color star you see."
Cut out different colored star from felt or paper. Is also a simple finger play.

The Old Gray Cats are Sleeping-
a traditional dramatic play song that kids LOVE and will want to do over and over!
Nocturnal Animals
- Have children close their eyes and guess the animals sounds
                                       they hear in the song

Walkin' in the Outback-
Show a map or globe and talk about how it's day in some places when it's night here! (you can also slip in the fact that seasons are opposite in the hemispheres!).
Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star-
has several original verses most children don't know,

which are so sweet! Have them lie down and close their eyes as they listen.
